Influence on the fluidization pattern of a freely bubbling fluidized bed with different modes of air supply

چکیده

Bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) reactors are extensively used in several process applications like gasification, pyrolysis, drying, and combustions due to their excellent mixing properties good temperature control. The bubble dynamic particle movement the reactor is primarily responsible for uniform heat mass transfer mixing. of bubbles BFB governed by gas distribution inside or supply fluidizing gas. This work investigates influence on fluid behaviour at different injection systems using Computational Particle Fluid model. Three modes include injection, air via twenty-five nozzles, side nozzles along height a gasification 10.04 cm diameter. Air as silica sand material. CPFD model developed Barracuda Virtual 20.01. validated against experimental data obtained from Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) sensors. result depicts better fluidization quality with flow boundary located bottom reactor. With two height, large entrainment freeboard zone A method proposed improve while inlet Boundary Conditions (BC) injection. includes addition four wall instead which improves terms smaller size without region.
